Luxurious Resorts in the Maldives

[ad_1]

The Maldives is one of those holiday destinations where there seems to be a very large number of luxurious 5 star resorts as is the case in Dubai for example as well. This island nation is a dream honeymoon destination for many couples and what better place to spend your honeymoon then at a luxury resort.

Having worked in the hospitality industry for many years I have used my contacts to compile a list of the most luxurious resorts in the Maldives for you. I sincerely hope that this list of high end holiday accommodation will be able to assist travelers in choosing the right resort or hotel.

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa

The Sheraton has won many different hospitality awards and has been given an award for being one of the top vacation hotels of Asia. There are 156 luxurious and well appointed guest rooms at this Sheraton as well as many outstanding facilities and service such as a kids club.

W Retreat and Spa

The W Retreat and Spa is one of the most expensive and high end resorts in the Maldives and many well known people from the entertainment industry have spent their vacation there. I would personally call this the ideal romantic getaway property for couples.

Anantara Veli Resort & Spa

The Anantara Veli is located in the South Male Atoll and anyone interested in staying in a water bungalow should definitely consider making a reservation at this wonderful Maldivian hotel which has recently been completely renovated.

Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa

My wife and I spend our honeymoon at the Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa and it is without a doubt one of the leading 5 star resorts in Asia. The beach front bungalows are the accommodation which you should book there. There is also an outstanding scuba diving school there.

Shangri-La Villingili

The Shangri-La Villingili can only be reached via seaplane from Male International Airport. The Shangri-La Villingili is a venue to consider if you are looking for a water villa which allows guests to see the ocean and the creatures of the sea through the glass bottom of their water villa.
